MAKTAB is a premier educational initiative of the Fiqh Academy, established to redefine the landscape of Islamic learning for the contemporary age. We are a community of scholars (traditional Alim from Deoband School of Thought), educators, and visionaries dedicated to providing a high-caliber, holistic educational experience that bridges the gap between classical Islamic tradition and the demands of the 21st century.
Our Identity
We are the custodians of a 1,500-year-old legacy. Inspired by the Blessed Places of Masjid ul Haraam, Masjid un Nabvi ﷺ and Masjid ul Aqsa and the prestigious learning centers of Bukhara, Samarkand, we have revived the "Maktab" model to serve as a beacon of intellectual and spiritual excellence Situated in one of Karachi’s most prestigious locales.

At MAKTAB, our heartbeat is the Quran. As a distinguished project of Fiqh Academy, our primary mission is to guide children on the blessed journey of Quran reading & memorization (Nazra & Hifz), rooted in the timeless values of Islam. However, we recognize that we live in an era of complex global philosophies; therefore, we use the Quran to equip our students with a 'moral compass' that is as sophisticated as their academic ambitions. While we offer premier STEM education, counseling, and Shariah consultancy, these programs serve to complement the spiritual core of a MAKTAB student: one who is deeply connected to the Quran and fully prepared for the modern world.

About Fiqh Academy
Fiqh Academy, founded in 2018 under the supervision of bona fide, classical Ulama and Mashaikh, is an Islamic Educational Institute in Gulistan-e-Johar Karachi. Its operations are managed by a team of Ulama, Talaba, and Volunteers educated in both Islamic as well as Contemporary Knowledge. This Institute adheres to the Religious Orientation of Akabir Ulama-e-Deoband i.e. the most eminent tradition of Ahl-us-Sunnah Wal Jama’ah present especially in the Sub-Continent, and strictly follows the Religious Rulings of Ulama-e-Deoband under Fiqh-e-Hanafi.
